Dear Visitor,
This website is a reflection of my spiritual journey towards the Divine. It is not necessary that I have
“Experienced” every word I write here. One has to “See” The Divine before
“Experiencing” The Divine and ultimately
“Being” The Divine.
The ability to "see" the Divine is a spiritual
gift
from my Guru
(PP Srinivas Nakhate Maharaj: 1920 – 2001).
My
goal is Self-Realization. I am millions of miles away from the Goal. It is a little distance left (compared to total distance one has to walk to attain God)
and I know my
Guru will take me there one day.
Why I created this website?
In one of his reflections my Guru said – "If you have seeds, spread them around.
Many may go waste, so what?...some will germinate one day"
- Therefore, I spread the seeds and share my Joy at this website (...my children get bored when I
talk to
them about the God )
-
Writing helps me
experience
the Divine more.
- Writing helps me continue with the purification process within (one page removes one grain of
impurity from the mountain I carry )
-
I write...I write as new doors of Divinity open before me.
Another purpose of creating this site is to underline the message: You don’t have
to go to Himalayas or be an ascetic and leave your family to attain
God. You can attain God or Self-Realization while living a normal family
life. This is beauty of “Kali-Yuga” or the “Iron-age”. My Sadguru was a family person
and so am I. I am a commoner working in IT and living with my family in USA. I am
doing Siddha Yoga and
Bhakti Yoga for last 30 years and I never had conflicts between my material
world and Divine world. They both go well hand in hand. (That is called Guru-Krupa
or the Grace of God.) I agree, it is extremely difficult to maintain that balance
but it is no less difficult to go to Himalayas to attain God. It is always
better to continue your normal worldly life and attain God (by taking your mind
away from the material world and Vasanas - subtle desires) than going to Himalayas
and keeping your mind still engaged in the material world and Vasanas.
With him I am Infinite, Without him I am Zero
I have an unwritten agreement with the Divine. You help me run my material world
and I will continue walking after you
….and he has always fulfilled that promise....of Yogakshemam Vahamyaham
*…I have
experienced it many times in my life. It is him who runs my life…I mean it. I am just a spectator
or let us call a 'reluctant participant' of material world. Sometimes I do mistake of taking the credit (out of ego) but those events are reducing as I move forward. It is him who does everything in my material and divine world.
With him I
am infinite, Without him I am zero! (* Yogakshemam Vahamyaham: Declared Lord Sri Krishna in Bhagavad Gita, “I shall ensure
the safety and well-being of my devotees!” Lord says “I will take care of the material
and spiritual needs of those who constantly think of me”….and He keeps his word,
Always, Without fail....I can absolutely guarantee this from my
own experiences!)
Therefore, this website is a celebration of my Guru, the Guru Principal (Shri
Datta Guru)
and his avatars.
If you find it helpful, you may thank my Guru.
Any errors you may find here, blame it on my ignorance & ego.
So, enjoy this spiritual journey within*, if you can.
Journey to the God in a nutshell:
There are only three entities in the Divine journey –
"You (Sadhak), Guru and God", everything else is Maya (grand Illusion of mind). The world outside appears to be
real but it is not, it is creation of the "Stupefied state" of your mind (Mudhawastha). The world outside disappears
the moment your mind is
dissolved at the feet of the God. This is when the Sadhak
enters into the Samadhi.
God (Divine) is absolute Purity (Sattva) of Thought, Speech and Actions. It is relatively
easy to purify Actions and Speech (for advanced Sadhak). The real battle starts
on the plane of the Mind. Vasanas (desires) and Vrttis (thought waves) are your enemies
on this battle field. Yama (self restraint), Niyama (discipline) and Vicara (enquiry,
sustained thinking) are the weapons in your hand. Somewhere on this road (battlefield),
the Sadhak is graced by a Guru
and he will take control of your life (chariot).
Lord (in the form of a Guru) will be guiding your chariot from here on.
While the battle rages on, the Divine doors start opening one by one where the God becomes visible to the
Gyanchakshus (eyes of Knowledge.) This battle continues for
several decades to many lives, before The Bliss (Self-Realization) is attained.
In the Self-Realization the Sadhak, Guru and the God become One - This is the Union with the Divine or
"Being One" with the God. This is the Mahavakya given by Upanishad -
Tat-twam-asi (That thou art).
Only one in thousands is capable of being a Sadhak**. Only one in millions
attains The Bliss…Rest of them continue their journey through the battlefield
of
the mind…many of them fall off the road...to continue their journey sometime later. The one who attained the bliss comes back (as
a Guru - in the form of
a physical and subtle Guru-tatva -
Guru principle) to Guide the rest..in our efforts to attain the Bliss.
* Within: Saint Eknath tells our body is sacred place and God dwells within us. Therefore
the pilgrimage is within us (not outside).
** Sadhak: Is one who is doing conscious efforts to attain
the God without expectations of material gains.
Thank you.

The Inner Battle - as described by Swami Sivananda
"The soldier fights for a few hours only, But the aspirant's battle goes
on day and night. It is verily a hard battle, a fierce battle And it lasts till
the end of his life. This battle is raging in the field of the mind. Satva (purity)
fights with rajas (impurity) and tamas (inertia), Higher mind wages war with the
lower mind. Contentment fights with greed, Patience fights with anger, Brahmacarya
(celibacy) fights with lust, Humility fights with pride. Fight, my brother, valiantly.
Raise the sword of Ram Nam (the divine name)."
