Happiness is our nature. It is not wrong to desire it. What is wrong is seeking it outside when it is inside - Ramana Maharshi

Nature’s law: Karma, Rebirth, God and You

Date Sent: March 30, 2013

God is neither partial nor unjust. Remember that God is not responsible for the wealth of one man or the poverty of another. You suffer on account of your own actions. There is nothing chaotic or capricious in this world. Things do not happen in this universe by accident or chance in a disorderly manner. They happen in regular succession and events follow each other in a regular order. There is a definite connection between what is being done now by you and what will happen to you in the future.

Cosmic law is an absolute and the most perfect law of the universe. God is neither Random nor Biased. God neither gives you anything nor will he take away anything from you. Technically, God DOES NOT care for you or your life until you do for him. Everything must follow the 'Cosmic Law' or 'Law of Nature' or 'Law of Karma'.

God is just an ocean of bliss....in its place. Ocean WILL NOT come to you. You WILL need to go to the ocean if you need water. The ocean is far far away from where we live Smiley Face. The travel from 'here' to 'there' is extremely painful! He will help you 'some times' NOT 'all the times'. You must walk each step towards him. He is not going to carry you (except for some occasions.)

#1. Those who seek peace and bliss go to him.

#2. Others (99.999.....% of people) choose to live in the ocean of Lust, Sorrow, Grief, Insecurity, Anger and Fear where they will momentarily be visited by Pleasure, Compassion, Humility and Gratitude. The waves on the 'ocean of miseries' continue and the life remains aimless like a wooden plank floating on the water....mind always running after the Vasanas (desires and ambitions) gathering more Vasanas during its travel.

#3. Most of those who try #1 fail many times and return to #2. Its all about doing efforts...again and again and again!...billions of times before you succeed.

Eternal Truth:

He is there with you in each step you take towards him (sometimes he will hold your hands...but not all the times). He will be just an observer when you walk away from him holding hands of Vasanas....waiting for you to turn back towards him...and the cycle continues....

Stupid are those who think God punishes those who walk away from him. No, God does NOT punish! God is about absolute love and freedom. He will embrace you when you walk towards him. He will be just an observer when you walk away from him. Everything else will follow the Law of Karma. Period!

Relationship between Mother (God) and the baby (you)

Think of a baby that is learning to take her first steps and the mother calling her towards her. Mother is full of joy when the baby takes her first steps and falls. Mother is ready to help but she will not help. She is ready to protect when the need arises. She is behind you all the times and will be there when needed but most of the times she will just be a joyful observer encouraging you to walk more.

That is the relationship between the seeker (baby) who is taking her first steps towards the God (mother)...Mother is absolutely exited when baby takes her steps. She wants the entire world to see how her baby is doing efforts to walk. She does not care if its a perfect step or not. She just wants you to take the steps! She is full of joy when you lift your feet with effort to go towards her. Its about intention - right or wrong does not matter. Perfection will come as efforts succeed.

God is with you in every step you take to God God and you baby first steps

Mother (God) is with you in every step you take. She is there to protect when need arises. She still wants you to walk

Walk Baby Walk! (God and Your first baby steps.)

Remember she is there to help....but she will not help..because she wants you to learn. What is the fun for a mother in carrying the baby all the times?

Those who learn and follow the cosmic law will attain him even without even knowing him because God and his law are no different from each other.

Swami Sivananda says

"The law of compensation operates everywhere in nature's phenomena. The seed breaks and a large tree arises from the seed. There is no loss in the breaking of the seed. Fuel burns. Fuel is destroyed. But there is heat, in accordance with the law of compensation. Many articles are cooked in the fire on account of the heat.

The law of compensation operates in the mental plane also. It keeps up the balance and establishes peace, concord, equilibrium, harmony and justice in nature. Think deeply, cogitate and reflect. You will see that this law of compensation is operating everywhere in the phenomena of nature. It is inexorable and immutable. No one can defy this relentless and irresistible law. If you do an evil act, you will reap a bad fruit in compensation.

If you take an individual life as an isolated event which begins with birth of the physical body and terminates with its death you cannot find any correct explanation or solution for the affairs of life. You will be groping in darkness and despair. Your present life is nothing, when compared with the whole soul-life. It is momentary - a mere fragment. If you want to find the cause or antecedent for anything, you will have to go deep into the affairs of the eternal soul-life. Then alone there will be perfect balance of cause and effect, antecedent and consequence. Life does not end with the disintegration of this physical body alone. There is reincarnation. There had been countless previous lives also. You will have to take into consideration the widest view of the life of the soul. Then you will find a perfect, satisfactory solution for all the intricate and complicated affairs of life.

Every wrong action or crime brings its own punishment in accordance with the law of retribution. The law of causation, the law of action and reaction, the law of compensation and the law of retribution - all operate together. He who hurts another man, hurts himself first."

Yoga is an exact science. It aims at the harmonious development of body, mind and soul. Everyone should follow one Yoga as their primary Yoga (based on their character). Then we must combine Karma Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Raja Yoga, Bhakti Yoga and Gyan Yoga. This “Yoga Synthesis” will lead one to the God.
