Happiness is our nature. It is not wrong to desire it. What is wrong is seeking it outside when it is inside - Ramana Maharshi

Why Siddha Yoga (Kundalini Shaktipat) is the Supreme Yoga Science
As mentioned on several pages of this website, Siddha Yoga (or Kundalini yoga) is absolutely the Supreme Yoga Science. Here is one of the several confirmations about the supremacy of the Siddha Yoga.

Before I explain about the Supremacy of Siddha yoga (Kundalini Shaktipat) let me first talk about Yogi Paramahansa Yogananda. Yogi was a leading proponent of yoga of awareness - Kriya yoga. Yogi Paramahansa Yogananda came to USA in 1920 and founded the Self-Realization Fellowship. Self-Realization Fellowship is headquartered in Los Angeles and has grown to include more than 500 temples and centers around the world and has members in over 175 countries including the Self-Realization Fellowship Lake Shrine. After the death of Paramahansa Yogananda in USA, the Time Magazine reported on August 4, 1952 that “The absence of any visual signs of decay in the dead body of Paramhansa Yogananda offers the most extraordinary case in our experience.... No physical disintegration was visible in his body even twenty days after death”.

Here is what Paramahansa Yogananda has to say about kundalini Shaktipat in his book “Autobiography of a Yogi”

“The Yogi mentally directs his life energy (Prana Shakti or Kundalini) to revolve, upward and downward, around the six spinal centers (medullary, cervical, dorsal, lumbar, sacral, and coccygeal plexuses) which correspond to the twelve astral signs of the zodiac, the symbolic Cosmic Man. One-half minute of revolution of energy around the sensitive spinal cord of man effects subtle progress in his evolution; that half-minute of Kriya equals one year of natural spiritual unfoldment.”

The most important statement is - “half-minute of Kriya equals one year of natural spiritual unfoldment.”

This simply means a follower of Siddha yoga (one whose kundalini has awakened through shaktipat and is practicing Siddha yoga regularly to the extent of taking his kundalini up-to sahasrahar chakra) achieves one year of natural spiritual unfoldment within one minute. (Spiritual unfoldment is a cleansing process of karma impressions in the subtle body.) For an average sadhak this process is extremely slow. (Average sadhak is one who employees Non-Sidha-Yogas practices like Karma yoga, Bhakti yoga, Gyan yoga, Hatha yoga, Laya yoga Raja Yoga and so on)

This is one of the many reasons why Siddha Yoga is THE SUPREME Yoga – or is considered as KING of all the yogas.

(What are Kriyas? Kriyas are the Pranic movements. Kriya is Sanskrit world meaning "action, movements or effort" and Prana is the Sanskrit word for vital energy. Kriyas are spontaneous movements resulting from the awakening of Kundalini in Siddha yoga as this intense energy moves through the nadis and clears our physiological blocks; this process continues for several years after the Kundalini awakening. See Kriyas in action)

Yoga is an exact science. It aims at the harmonious development of body, mind and soul. Everyone should follow one Yoga as their primary Yoga (based on their character). Then we must combine Karma Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Raja Yoga, Bhakti Yoga and Gyan Yoga. This “Yoga Synthesis” will lead one to the God.
