Happiness is our nature. It is not wrong to desire it. What is wrong is seeking it outside when it is inside - Ramana Maharshi

Q & A: Siddha yoga cure for Deep vein thrombosis, Chakras, kundalini activation

I want to activate my Chakras and kundalini awakening are there any practitioners to cure my diseases - Deep vein thrombosis

Keshav (Name changed), India

Great to know your interest. Here are my thoughts about the path of Siddha yoga, its purpose, benefits and healing effects of Siddha yoga for the diseases –Deep vein thrombosis in your case

We are born with the karma and the Karma must be consumed

In my personal view, the Siddha yoga (of Kundalini yoga) is about travel of an individual towards the God (most of the times it is a long journey spanning over several lives). Healing of diseases may be possible in Siddha yoga (because of Kundalini awakening and clinzing of the Nadis and Chakra paths) but that is not the primary focus or purpose of Siddha yoga. Awakening of Kundalini, charkas may not cure the disease in the short run and it may take efforts of several years of Siddha yoga practice to get the health benefits of Siddha yoga. Healing of diseases (like deep vein thrombosis in your case) is still the byproduct of Siddha yoga to a large extent.

In my view, the diseases that we suffer from in our life are directly related to our past karma. Individuals have no escape from the consequences of their past karma (good and bad both). Practicing Siddha yoga may help to some extent but most probably it may not cure the diseases like deep vein thrombosis in the short run. In my view, our past karma must be consumed until the person is liberated from all the bindings of the karma (this is an extremely advanced stage…and we need not discuss it here). Even in case of avatars, when they appeared in form of human life, they could not escape the consequences of the karma.

Yoga, Ayurveda treatment will help cure deep vein thrombosis

At the same time continuous practice of Siddha yoga meditation aided by yoga-asanas (yoga postures) and Ayurvedic treatment may help alleviate the pain to a certain extent.

So in general: The way I would address such an issue in my life would be to seek doctor’s help and do whatever I can to cure the disease like deep vein thrombosis. Therefore, medical treatment, yogasans, Ayurveda and similar techniques should be the primary focus in case of deep vein thrombosis (more than siddha yoga) at least in the initial phase. Siddha yoga can also be done in parallel to help cure the diseases like deep vein thrombosis.

Thank you.

Yoga is an exact science. It aims at the harmonious development of body, mind and soul. Everyone should follow one Yoga as their primary Yoga (based on their character). Then we must combine Karma Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Raja Yoga, Bhakti Yoga and Gyan Yoga. This “Yoga Synthesis” will lead one to the God.
